Class II / Time: 50 min / Activity idea: Anna Misztal
Using KORBO blocks, the whole class can quickly create labyrinths of paths in a magical forest that robots will traverse. All this on St. Patrick’s Leprechaun Day. The aim of the classes is to cooperate in a group, create structures together, and finally find “mythical” treasures at the end of the rainbow. It was on the occasion of Earth Day, we talked about why greenery is important in the city, how it affects the temperature felt by us and animals, and how it affects the level of pollution. What does it mean that a house is ecological, i.e. energy-saving, and how can we influence saving water and energy in our everyday lives? The lesson was also related to the school-wide project “Smart School”, through which girls from older grades educated younger girls about energy saving at our school. They worked in groups of 3-4 people. After finishing their work, each group talked about their project.
