Sensoric Set
The Sensoric Set is a didactic-therapeutic aid that supports the development of a child's sense of
touch in terms of cognitive, sensory, and manual aspects. The reception of tactile impressions takes
place through sensing surfaces, which helps localize the place of touch without using vision,
distinguishing the texture of materials, surfaces, and shapes. The variety of proposed tactile
sensations allows the child to develop and experience different sensory experiences.
Dimensions: 30 x 20 x 18 cm
By inserting their hands through the side openings, children explore the elements by touch, examining different shapes and textures. They look for similarities and match them in pairs.
Additionally, the box has a viewing panel on the other side, which allows the entire group to observe the child’s actions. This supports the development of social aspects, such as empathy and the ability to analyze and draw conclusions.
Dimensions of 1 template: 9 x 9 cm
Contents: 12 templates and 12 shapes in a pouch
Templates and shape aids are an effective method for developing children’s cognitive, perceptual,
and motor skills. They help children recognize shapes and improve hand-eye coordination, as well as
problem-solving and analytical skills.
Contents:18 wooden tiles with different textures (9 pairs—smooth, rough, and bumpy) in a pouch.
Dimensions of 1 tile:8 x 8 cm
Effective educational tools that develop sensory sensitivity and the cognitive abilities of children. They help develop the ability to identify and describe various textures, which is essential for sensory development.
This tool can be used at home, in preschool, and during therapeutic classes. The textures are useful for children with special educational needs, including sensory perception deficits. They help develop the sense of touch and encourage interactions with various textures and surfaces.
1. Children sit in a circle. The teacher empties the pouch. The children must match a shape to the template.
2. The teacher divides the group into 4 teams. The children close their eyes. The teacher gives one person in each group a template. By touching the template, each child familiarizes themselves with it and remembers its shape. Afterward, the teacher picks up 4 shapes, and the children point out which one matches their template.
3. The group sits in a circle. One child gets a pouch with a single shape. They place their hand in the pouch without taking out the shape and, by touch alone, describe and guess the shape to the group without naming it.
The remaining template application group guesses the correct one.
4. The children must find pairs of the same texture in the pouch using only their sense of touch.
5. To one selected shape, all the templates are matched, and to the second shape, only matching shapes. The children draw a template and then find the corresponding shape in the pouch.
6. The teacher randomly places the texture tiles face down. The task is to find pairs of tiles with the same textures. Incorrect guesses mean the tiles are turned face down, and the game continues.
1. Find a shape: Place one template on the box and put 4 shapes inside. The child must find the correct shape.
(This can also be done the other way around: place shapes on the box and put templates inside.)
2. Auditory-tactile coordination: Place a shape inside the box, and the teacher asks the child to find and pull out the specific object while only using their sense of touch.
3. Find a pair: Place 3 templates and 3 corresponding shapes inside the box. The child must match the pairs.
4. Story creation: Place random objects in the box. The child or children are tasked with creating a story in which the objects play a role.
5. Mirror exercise: Arrange different tiles inside the box and one “pair” of tiles in the center. One child places their hand inside, while another watches from the side and describes the top, bottom, or middle part. The task is made more challenging by using the mirror.
6. Texture pairs: Place 3 tiles with different textures inside the box and 3 outside. The child must find matching pairs by touch alone and describe whether the texture is smooth, rough, or soft.
